2-day Introduction to Dry Stone Construction Workshop
Come join us for a hands-on workshop on dry stone wall construction at Pollagh, Rosscahill, Connemara, County Galway.
The wall type you will be constructing is an Irish Feidin or Combination wall. Combinating a double and a single wall. These wall types are common in Connemara, East and South Galway, Aran Islands, South Limerick, North Cork, Roscommon, Mayo and many other upland and rocky areas, especially where sheep are found. The combination wall is a great way to learn the basics of dry stone wall construction.
Tickets for this two day event are just €100, plus booking fee of €8.23 (incl lunches & refreshments on both days).
This workshop is funded by The National Built Heritage Service of Ireland through the Department of Housing.
This event is an action of the National Vernacular Strategy an initiative under the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage
