Program Description

This program will review the continuum of Alzheimer’s disease, with a focus on early and preclinical stages and the underlying amyloid-driven pathophysiology. Participants will explore how early identification of disease creates an opportunity for intervention with disease-modifying therapies.

The activity will also examine emerging data on amyloid-targeting therapies, which have demonstrated the ability to rapidly reduce amyloid plaque burden and slow cognitive and functional decline in patients with early symptomatic Alzheimer’s disease. Safety considerations will be a key focus, particularly the risk of amyloid-related imaging abnormalities (ARIA), which are common but often asymptomatic and manageable with appropriate monitoring strategies.
