The Washington State Mental Health Summit is an inclusive forum that brings together stakeholders from across Washington and beyond to develop, share, and advance innovative ideas, partnerships, and initiatives that improve mental health and substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and care.

The Summit is open to anyone interested in strengthening behavioral health systems and improving outcomes in our communities. Summit registration is free thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.

The 2025 Summit welcomed more than 700 in-person and virtual attendees from across the country. The 2026 Summit will take place on Monday, October 26, 2026, at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront.

Unlike a traditional educational conference, the Washington State Mental Health Summit is designed to foster collaboration and action. The Summit follows a unique 18-month cycle, allowing initiatives time to develop, implement, and report on their progress while creating space for new ideas to emerge. Attendees come with the expectation of learning about innovative initiatives, building meaningful partnerships, and contributing to solutions that advance mental and behavioral health across Washington State.

Initiatives are selected through a competitive review process conducted by the Summit Advisory Council and evaluated based on their potential statewide impact, benefit to underserved communities, innovation, and the role the Summit can play in helping them grow.
