JFNCF Youth Veteran's Day Service Project

This year on Veteran's Day, both JFNCF Youth groups (4/5 and 6/7) are invited to come together for a community service project on their day off from school to put into action the Jewish value of tikkun olam.

We will be packing cold weather bags for the homeless population in Gainesville at the Congregation B'nai Israel Social Hall from 10:00 AM to noon. The following day, Thursday November 12th, we will meet at the Salvation Army at 5:45 PM to distribute the bags while the S.O.C.K. Ministry provides meals. This is encouraged so the children can see the direct impact of their work and who they are helping.

There is no cost for this program, but donations are hugely appreciated and will go directly into purchasing items to go in the cold weather bags. Please reach out to youth@jfncf.org if you are interested in helping to sponsor this event.
