Release a live Monarch with us!
Join us on Saturday, August 15th, and release a live Monarch butterfly in the beautiful park setting of White Mountain Meadows, by the pavilion and playground.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to receive your butterflies!
The live release is promptly at 11 am.

Live Monarch butterflies are shipped to Ruidoso the day before, and we keep them 'hibernating' from their transit. At 10:45 am everyone should be warming up their butterflies. Once they are unpackaged and begin to warm their wings, they want to fly! We will do everything possible to allow them their flight and will hand them off to someone to release them if you are not on time to receive and accept them.
By ordering the butterflies in advance, you agree to our terms of release in the event you are not able to do so yourself.
Ruidoso Hospice Foundation is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Registered Organization, organized exclusively to help assist families of Lincoln County, New Mexico, with end-of-life care. Formed in 2002, and governed by a local non-profit board, the Foundation has ensured that in the past years, all qualified applicants have received financial assistance for medications, home health and hospice care, medical supplies and equipment, or other costs associated with end-of-life care for their loved ones.
