We're delighted to welcome you to the inaugural edition of ADORNED, a five-day jewelry retreat at LAGO, a 1930s cultural residence on the island of Skiathos, Greece.
This retreat celebrates the art of making jewelry by hand and the inspiration found through travel, observation, and place. Guided by MackBecks and Make It Amazing, we'll spend five days learning the foundations of metalsmithing, including sawing, soldering, and stone setting, while embracing the slower rhythms of Greek island life.
No jewelry or metalsmithing experience is required. In fact, it's encouraged. Whether you're picking up a jeweler's saw for the first time or returning to the bench, ADORNED is designed to help you create with confidence through thoughtful instruction, a small group setting, and plenty of one-on-one guidance. Each day brings hands-on workshops, shared meals at LAGO, time to swim, sail, and explore the island, and plenty of space to slow down, gather inspiration, and create.
Expect beautiful meals, mornings in the outdoor studio pavilion, afternoons by the sea, and jewelry that tells the story of where it was made.

Set on the island of Skiathos, LAGO is a 1930s cultural residence created as a place for artists, travelers, and curious minds to gather. Throughout the week, guests will live, create, and share meals together while embracing the slower rhythms of Greek island life. From morning workshops in the outdoor studio to evenings around the table, LAGO is both your home and creative space for the week.
Mia Winston-Hart is a supplier, jeweller, and educator, and the founder of Make It Amazing, a creative supply company based in Winchester, England. A graduate of the University of the Arts London, Mia is passionate about helping makers of all skill levels discover the joy of creating by hand. She specializes in developing high-quality jewelry supplies while blending traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques including mold making, 3D printing, and laser cutting. Inspired by the countryside and coastline surrounding her home, her work celebrates color, nature, and thoughtful design, bringing a joyful and approachable style to both her teaching and creative practice.
Mackenzie Becker is the founder and Creative Director of MackBecks, a multidisciplinary design studio known for its bold, story-driven collections spanning jewelry, home goods, accessories, and collectible objects. Entirely self-taught, Mackenzie has spent the past eight years building her practice through curiosity, experimentation, and hands-on learning. What began with jewelry making has grown into a multidisciplinary design practice spanning product design, industrial design, branding, manufacturing, and creative direction. Her work is rooted in storytelling, drawing inspiration from travel, nostalgia, food culture, and the everyday objects that become part of our lives. After attending her first artist residency in Northern Italy, she was inspired to create a space where others could experience that same sense of creative community, exploration, and connection through making. As Creative Director of LAGO, she now brings that vision to life by designing experiences that encourage curiosity, collaboration, and meaningful connection through place.
Together, LAGO, Make It Amazing, and MackBecks have created ADORNED as an intimate retreat where craftsmanship, creativity, and Greek hospitality come together. Whether you're making your very first piece of jewelry or simply looking for a week of inspiration, you'll spend your days learning new skills, exploring the island, and creating alongside a small community of fellow makers.
