Program Description
The goal of this program is to explore the impact of motor fluctuations, such as "OFF" periods, and provide practical strategies for the proactive assessment of both motor and
non-motor changes in Parkinson's disease. In addition, participants will review the latest technological advancements in device-aided therapies, including patient selection criteria for carbidopa/levodopa enteral suspension and deep brain stimulation. The conference will further address investigational therapies, highlighting mechanisms of action and recent clinical trial results for continuous subcutaneous levodopa/carbidopa and apomorphine infusion, to help attendees prepare for the integration of these emerging options into routine practice. Overall, this activity is intended to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to classify patient needs, improve recognition of disease progression, and optimize therapeutic approaches in Parkinson's disease care.
